I’ve been in England for almost a week now and one does get used to the weather, you know. At least I can breathe the air without choking from smog or smoke from the fires that prevailed in Southern California just recently I hear that it’s in the 70s there. Ah, nice. I have warm weather to return to as always. I’m more or less in the English countryside, about 30 or 45 minutes outside of London depending on traffic, so I guess I’m not that far out into the country. But, I am far enough to be completely away from noise of any sort. I arrived a few days ahead of the Silver Investment Summit where one of our client companies had a booth, Orko Silver trading on the Canadian Venture Exchange under the symbol, OK.V or on the OTC bulletin board with the symbol OKOFF. It’s been trading at volumes of between half a million and 1.5 million shares a day. The conference was small but seemingly effective for the exhibiting companies that wanted to attract both retail and new institutional investment. There were a large percentage of sophisticated investors. I interviewed our silver guru, David Morgan of the Morgan Report while there. One of the most exciting things I’m happy to report is that while in England I have formed Sol Capital International LTD, a UK company, with business partners Karen Harris and Loizos Yerolemou as fellow directors. Sol Capital International will serve as a one-stop full service company including procuring public listings overseas for a variety of clients, possible financing and media exposure regionally or worldwide as needed. Some of that exposure in turn will be contracted through Sol Media International, our US based media company. We will be releasing more information about Sol Capital as soon as it becomes available and the website is up. It’s just a few days old, but there is a great deal happening. Ms. Harris and Mr. Yerolemou have extensive backgrounds internationally with regard to business consulting and facilitating the listing and financing of public companies. Mr. Yerolemou brings a working knowledge and background of the mining industry as part of his portfolio and therefore Sol’s into the forefront, again to be forthcoming in an upcoming press release and new website announcement. I’m very excited about this. There are big changes in the Sol Media and Opportunity Show team in the US as well and you’ll just have to wait until the virtual ink has dried before we let you know what they are.
Since my last article in September (sorry), I’ve traveled to northern California, the Silver Summit in Idaho, Albuquerque, New Mexico, Mt. Kisco, NY and Toronto for the Cambridge house conference with only a few days in between at the home front in Los Angeles. And now two trips to England. After I return to LA on the 12th of this month, I head to San Francisco for the Hard Assets conference and then straight back to England for the Mining and Money conference (www.minesandmoney.co.uk) and a flurry of meetings here in England again as we continue the launch of the new company. I miss my own bed, but I am happy to be engaged in what I love doing the most…..deals! Deals are being done. I’ll have a lot more to say about it upon my return to Los Angeles.
